Alhambra Pastors Praying and Working Together

Today I went to the Alhambra ministerial meeting with local pastors and the mayor to discuss how to collaborate around issues of caring for homeless families in the city in partnership with Family Promise. I was so impressed and encouraged by the hearts, prayers and unity of the ministry leaders and pastors; for their desire to work together and with the city leadership for the common good.

Kingdom Causes Alhambra/Monterey Park Catalyst Jesse Chang did a great job leading and facilitating. He is a true bridge builder and blessing to Alhambra & Monterey Park and the City Net association of partnered cities working for God’s peace in cities everywhere.

God always intended for us to work together, in collaboration for the common good. It is messier and takes more time but the relationships are not the means to the end but they are part of the end – the goal. Working together is about us being in the work and life together. I was encouraged and blessed to see this modeled today in Alhambra. Please remember them in your prayers for all they are doing for the common good by seeking God’s peace in the city (Jeremiah 29:7).
